Hockey and Chocolate!

Last night Brennan had his very first game with the High School Hockey Team. Agh! That's right, he is on the team as a Freshman. We are very proud of him (and a little nervous). He has to go to summer school for P.E. since he will miss 1st period next year to work out with the team over at the High School.
Right now they have started the summer league hockey for the high schools. (The official season doesn't start until the fall) So my 14 year old eighth grader is playing with big High School kids. He did great last night and really held his own. He was so excited he could hardly stand it. He even got one really good shot on the goal. It was a blast watching him play.
After the game, Will and I headed down to the Priest activity for the night. All the boys invited their mom's on a "date". They went to a chocolate candy store and got to make chocolate covered strawberries. (Please note our lovely hairnets. I might get some for home, they were so cool.) It was tons of fun, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves. The smell in there was absolutely heavenly! The boys chowed down on the free samples, and everyone was all smiles. My little Brooklynn had a great time. She enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate truffles. Mmmmm.

Brennan and his friend Trey who plays goalie. Both played great!
