Whirl wind week

What a whirl-wind week this has been. Nothing special, just our crazy life. I went to the gym a few times. Today I totally lapped the old guy pulling the oxygen tank behind him on the walking track. I think I'm getting faster! I even passed up the woman who was hoping to have her baby today. (She might have even been in labor) And here is an observation. What is the deal with old people getting dressed up to go to the gym? There were so many little old ladies there, walking the track, most of them wearing slacks and sweaters. One lady had on a ribbed turtleneck sweater that looked like it should have been worn skiing. I don't get it. And the little old men wear nice button down shirts, slacks and dress shoes. Maybe, I'm not really at the rec center after all, maybe in the morning hours they turn it into a senior single's mix and mingle.

One long weekend

So Will was gone most of the week to Georgia. He got home Thursday morning around 12:15 a.m. Yes, I was at the airport to pick him up. I had to wait about 30 minutes in the cold car for his bags to get unloaded, and for him to come out, but it wasn't too bad. I was listening to the Twilight tapes while I waited, so thoughts of Edward kept me warm. Then Friday afternoon he took off to the Priest's overnight campout/snowmobiling trip. He got home late Saturday night and by then I was ready to turn in my parenting badge. The kids really had been good, I was just worn out, and stressed from working on my Relief Society lesson. Which I am happy to report...is over with for this month! We both had mtg's today at opposite times, plus he went home teaching. Needless to say I have not seen him, unless you count me watching him sleep next to me, he crashed about an hour ago. Oh well, maybe next weekend. :)

Love Notes?

My Sweet Husband flew to Georgia this week for work, and decided to brighten my days at home without him by leaving little notes around the house. He left one on the bed, on our bathroom mirror, and on the T.V. But here is the location of my favorite "love note." Imagine my surprise when I lifted the lid. I laughed so hard when I found it, I could hardly stop. That's my crazy, sweet, wonderful husband! I'm so glad he is back home now, who else would make me smile, and laugh so hard?

A giggly party

Tonight we had a Valentines Party for Ashlyn and some of her friends. It was all Will and Ashlyn's idea. They planned the whole thing out and even printed up invitations. Then, the next day, Will tells me he is not going to make it. I could have strangled him! Well, the party turned out great. I carried on, and Will was able to get home soon after it started. The girls made Valentine bracelets, ate heart shaped pizza, decorated cookies, watched a movie and played games. I put Will in charge of games and you can see by the pictures, he did not go with the typical girly games. The former Scout Master came out in him, and he had the girls playing a rousing game of Indian leg wrestling and arm wrestling. They couldn't stop giggling!!

We had Ashlyn's Valentine party at school today. It was lots of fun. I helped make "heart picture frames." Wouldn't it be great if life were always as easy as 1st grade?

Time with my Sweetheart

Will and I had the chance to get away together last week. It was heavenly to have him all to myself. We had a great time. We took a cruise down to Acapulco and played in the waves, and 4 wheeled on the beach, and in the jungle. It was like we were little kids! My sweet mom watched the kids, and although we missed them terribly, it was good to be alone together. Forever might not be long enough.

Mexican get-away with my sweetheart!
